A hoodie is shaped by more than its fabric weight. Fit, interior finish, hood construction, pockets, rib details and the choice between pullover and zip-up all affect how the garment needs to be built. Production availability is checked against the specific style and quantity.
HOODIE TYPES
Two ways to build it
Pullover and zip-up hoodies share many of the same fabric choices, but the front construction, pockets and branding area create different production details.

Pullover hoodie
The pullover is the simpler of the two base constructions, but the finished product can still change considerably through fit, fabric weight, hood shape, pocket construction, rib and decoration.

Zip-up hoodie
A zip-up hoodie adds the front zipper to the specification, which affects the body construction, pocket layout and available decoration area. Fit, fabric weight and rib details still need to work together with the intended use.

Embroidery works naturally around the zip. Larger prints need more thought around placement.
Fabric
Fabric weight and interior finish shape the hoodie.
French terry and fleece can produce noticeably different garments even at similar weights. Composition, GSM and the inside surface should therefore be read together rather than as separate specifications.

DECORATION
The right finish for your artwork
Blank garments are available if decoration is handled elsewhere. Harvion can also provide screen printing, embroidery, heat transfer and DTF/PET-film transfer as part of the order. Artwork, fabric and placement determine which method is most suitable.
Screen printing
Screen printing works well for many garment graphics, from small logos to larger prints. Colour count, print area and fabric influence the print setup.
Embroidery
Embroidery suits logos and branding where a stitched finish is appropriate, particularly on polos, uniforms and heavier fabrics. Artwork may need adjustment for scale and stitch density.
Heat transfer
Transfer methods can work well for detailed or multicolour artwork and designs that do not suit traditional screen printing. Heat transfer and DTF/PET-film each give a different result depending on the artwork and fabric.
